As players in an exciting virtual video game, Charlie and Lucy must co-operate to solve riddles, battle monsters and conquer the Cave of Calamity. Lucy is over-confident and selfish, Charlie is aggressive and impulsive. When they fall through the safety net the game sends them on the greatest journey of all – the quest for true friendship. They learn to resist being involved in name calling and rumors on MySpace and Facebook. Can they safely navigate 'pinboards', 'forums', 'newsfeeds', buddy lists' , ' blogs' and 'avatars'. Charlie discovers that Lucy has given her mobile number to a Motti Monster, so she can plan to meet them'. Will they know when to tell an adult then 'copy', 'block', 'delete', 'report'. Together they realise that a true buddy is a friend of your own age that tells the truth, listens, makes you feel safe, and allows you to be yourself!
