| Description: |
Camp Quality’s production The Teenage Alchemist by Angela Betzien is a 40 minute play set in cyberspace that explores the personal conflicts and inner crises that emerge as a result of cancer diagnosis. Joshua and Xanthe are living with cancer, yet both deal with their situation in very different ways. When Joshua meets Xanthe online he becomes an inspiration to her, an example of how to face adversity with courage and optimism. Written specifically for teenagers, The Teenage Alchemist aims to empower young people to become resilient and supportive members of their communities. This organisation won the PinS Award in 2010 & 2011. |
