Media News Team, Mobile Media Workshop

There are two workshop options from which to choose:

A mini 1hr workshop can be arranged in conjunction with a Plant Tour of Fairfax Printers (home of The Sydney Morning Herald) at Chullora (near Bankstown). This workshop covers the news gathering processes prior to the newspaper being printed eg news report structure, editing, advertising, photography, who’s who in the newsroom, roles and much more.
Tours without the workshop can be arranged. Tours are professional, educational experiences, viewing stat of the art printing processes. Conditions apply.

The incursion workshop encourages students to be media aware and interested thinkers. Based on print media, journalism, photography, advertising & marketing, editing, headlines, editorial cartoons, are just some of the topics covered in these engaging, curriculum relevant workshops. Student participation and interaction is encouraged in the 2 hr workshops.

Extensive free teacher resources are available.

This organisation won the PinS Award in 2010 & 2011.
